TIMED ESSAY
This assignment is designed for 7th-9th grades, but can be adapted for students in 10th-12th grades.
Students must write an informational essay in one or two class periods, depending on the ability level of the class.
This task does not require students to write an introduction or conclusion paragraph, as its purpose is to strengthen students' organizational and argumentative skills.
This assignment is designed to accompany the novel The Absolutely True Diary of a Part-Time Indian, but can be adapted as an enrichment activity for any subject matter.
