FRACTURED FAIRY TALE

 

This project is designed for 7th-8th grades.

 

Students use their knowledge of fairy tale elements and the plots of several classic fairy tales to complete this assignment. Students have a choice of either creating their own original fairy tale or telling an existing fairy tale from the perspective of the antagonist. Students create illustrations to accompany their fairy tales, then present them to the class. Requirements are differentiated based on a range of student ability levels.

 

Student resources include a brainstorming worksheet, a plot diagram planner, and a peer review activity.
