EPIDEMIC MINI-RESEARCH PROJECT
This project is designed for 11th-12th grades as an introduction to the novel World War Z.
Students work individually or in small groups (based on ability level) to research an epidemic. This assignment requires students to find detailed information about the symptoms, transmission, and incubation period of the disease, as well as the details of a specific outbreak of the disease that reached epidemic levels. Students are also required to record their research sources and submit a Works Cited page with their finished product.
After completing this research assignment, students must compile their findings into neatly organized paragraphs and create an informational poster about their epidemic. Students present their findings to the class in a clear and well-organized presentation.
